1 X Flongle Adapter, 48 x Flongle Flow Cells. Flongle is an adapter for MinION or GridION that enables direct, real-time DNA or RNA sequencing on smaller, single-use flow cells. It delivers up to 1.8 Gb of data. Providing immediate access to sequence data, Flongle is designed to be the quickest, most accessible and cost-efficient sequencing system for smaller or more frequently performed tests and experiments. Flongle flow cells should be used within 4 weeks of receipt.

Flongle™ (flow cell dongle) is an adapter for MinION or GridION that enables direct, real-time DNA or RNA sequencing on smaller, lower cost, single-use Flongle flow cells.

The Flongle adapter contains 126 channels. Each nanopore channel is controlled and measured individually by the bespoke ASIC. This allows for multiple nanopores to be run in parallel.

Users can simply insert Flongle flow cells into the adapter, run their experiment and then discard the Flongle flow cell and replace it with another.

Shipping and logistics

The Oxford Nanopore Technologies Flongle adapter is stored and shipped at ambient temperature (15–25°C).

Flongle flow cells are shipped at 2–8°C.

The delivery charges are calculated when a quote is raised or during checkout. Once an order is made, the delivery ID and delivery information can be tracked in the Store.

Users buying the starter pack will be able to schedule their flow cells over the course of 12 months at point of checkout.

We will endeavour to meet your shipping schedule, however we do expect very high demand on this product so our Customer Service team will be in touch on a regular basis to finalise dispatch dates.

There is a single delivery charge include in the Flongle starter pack. This is to cover the shipping of the adapter. Each subsequent consumable delivery will incur our standard shipping rate based on location.

Safety and legal

Customers are required to perform a flow cell check prior to starting their sequencing experiment. Oxford Nanopore Technologies will replace any flow cell with fewer than 50 nanopores, when the result is reported within two days of performing the flow cell check, and when the storage recommendations have been followed. We deem the useful life of this product to be four weeks from receipt by the customer.

There is a 1 year contract length on all consumables purchases.
